Spotted this in Eason Galway today. Not sure of brand but it was a 500gig multimedia hard drive with remote for E99. Sounds cheap to me, also had a 1tb regular hard drive for E99.

    the 500GB it's a disgo media bank

will record from composite in at 640x480 - no tuner just what is on the scart
and play video and pictures too
    won't do HD
has card reader , menu's probably slow

The regular Hard Drive's are Dane-Elec. I work in one of the Cork stores and picked one up last week. the 1TB one formats to 930gb which I was very chuffed at. I was expecting the usual 700gb bollocks

Grabbed one of the 1TB drives in Liffey Valley. Decent build quality and a nice Samsung HD103SI drive inside. They were marked at €159 but €99 at till. Thanks OP.
