I start the car, it goes up to about 1200 rpm the drops suddenly to about 6 or 700rpm, I might drive 50 yards down the road before I hit a bit of traffice, as soon as i stop it cuts out, anyone know wat this is. Ive checked under the oil cap, its quite clean, plenty of coolant, just recently had it serviced and reprogrammed, the problem was worse before i had the work done though, also had the spark plug leads checked and dried, and got the under side of the bonnet sealed cos it lets water in on the sparks

Had similar symptom on another car, turned out to be a stepper motor. dunnon how the Fiesta is set up, but I'm sure if you bring it to a Ford dealer or Ford specialist, they'll have seen the problem before and will be able to solve it quickly and efficently.

brought it to a ford mechanic about 2 weeks ago, he eve stuck it on the diagnostics machine, was fine after t but has started acting up again. its just a pain more then anything. when the engine is warm its perfect, its only when its cold

to be honest, if a Ford mechanic can't sort it, us "lay people" who don't have the car in front of us won't be much good, apart from throwing possibilities at you.

I'd suggest bringing it to a different dealer, or to someone like Darragh29 on here who's a ford specialist.
