but use my macbook to add songs to it

few days ago i used yamipod to delete some duplicate songs i had on my ipod

now i cant use my ipod in itunes - will this be the same on all computers?

so i wont be able to plug andplay my ipod through other peoples comps unless they have yamipod?

I didn't think ipods could be "windows" formated (NTFS), maybe you mean it's formated as a FAT32 drive, which should have no problem what so ever operating with your macbook.

Perhaps "yamipod" added/corrupted some file that is messing with itunes?

Is your ipod showing up at all?
Can you put it into recovery mode and is it seen by itunes then?

If you want your iPod to be readable on both Mac & PC, it needs to be formatted in FAT32.

By the way, I used yamipod a while ago and I still don't know how but it corrupted my iTunesDB file according to Apple support.

Now I am using a free iTunes replacement called CopyTrans Manager and it works great.
