    SHADOW DANCER Live [Boysnoize Records]
Friday 5th June, The Underground at Kennedys

Shadow Dancer are Paul and Al Farrier - two brothers from Manchester who shared a childhood passion for 80s synth-pop (think Jean-Michel Jarre), Detroit and Chicago house (Underground Resistance, Axis, Trax) and early 90s techno (Warp, Tresor). Inevitably they started crafting their own take on electronic dance music, before deciding to give it a rest in 2003. Fast-forward to 2006 where Paul was once again bitten by the production bug, and Shadow Dancer was born.

Approached in 2007 by Alex Ridha’s forward-thinking German label, Boysnoize Records, the duo’s first EP swiftly found the favour of DJs such as Busy P, Erol Alkan, Adam Freeland and Proxy.

Since their 2008 EPs with Boysnoize, ‘Cowbois’ and ‘Soap,’ the brothers debut album ‘Golden Traxe’ was released early this year and is an accumulation of cut-up techno, bangin' electro, acid house and space disco sounds.

Support from the night is from Philth and his brother-from-another-mother Chewy (http://climaxxxblog.blogspot.com). They are going to take to the decks together for a back to back session.

Starting things off for the night is Louis Scully. Initially honing in on his delirious passion for disco with this blog- Dublin Bus Disco(http://dublinbusdisco.blogspot.com), Louis is beginning to carve a name for himself in Dublin.

Adm: €10 before midnight or with a student card
    €12 after midnight
