    Hi,

The VAT rate you charge depends on the services you are providing.

Psychologist are exempt from VAT in respect of the provision of the medical treatment of patients, which means you cannot charge VAT or reclaim VAT.

However psychometric testing or aptitude testing is chargeable at 21.5% VAT rate (which means you can charge VAT & reclaim VAT).

In general if you are providing a services and you do not expect your annual sales (net of VAT) to exceed €37,500 then you do not have to register for VAT, which means you cannot charge or reclaim VAT.

I hope that answers your query, if you need more information do not hesitate in contacting me.
