Dunnes Stores-Changeover-More/less jobs?

    The rumour that Dunnes Stores is being taken over by Asda is still a lively one at the moment and only the other day I heard two cashiers talking about their jobs and one of them whispered "...well that wont be the same when we changeover to Asda.." only to be quickly 'hushed' by the other. Does anyone have any insider scoop about whether they are changing over? Im interested because there are rumours that alot of the old staff may be let go. I have friends workin there,but I'm also tantalized by the idea of jobs being available to me(I've no qualifications,only doing my leaving certificate this year but need money to help out with family).
    Anyone have any ideas or insider info about either of these rumours?
