Jeans are never a good idea for an interview. A suit always makes a good impression.

    Congrats on the interview btw.

Well I would be temped to say "You got a job as a fcuking clamper? Bastard!!"

But yeah, wear a suit. Nowadays everyone is on the hunt for jobs, and you want to be selling yourself from every angle possible, including your appearance.

Would you prefer to be overdressed or underdressed?

    Good luck

How, at the age of 29, have you never had to do an interview before?

Only wear jeans if you don't want the job. Goodluck!

you should prob wear a suit or if you dont have a suit just wear formal trousers, shoes, and a shirt, but not a nightclub shirt.
if its your first interview you may want to get your OH to ask you some interview type questions i.e. were do you see yourself in 5 years? what will you bring to the company? what attracts you to the position etc.
have a look on the net for websites that give a list of popular job interview questions

i suspect you will get alot of questions about your ability to work under pressure to meet quotas, how do you handle conflict ie when you try and clamp someone and they shout at you... people management skills all the way

    Cheers lads,

Went with the suit in the end, the interview seemed to go well, it actually sounds like a good job. The interview didnt try to butter up what it would be like out there doing clamping. I think its something i could handle with no problems.

He seemed impressed with me and said i should get a call back for a second interview next week.

    So fingers crossed.
