Hi all just lookin for advice. I bought a car last august and the cars registation details in my name were sent to shannon by the garage. However the garage mistakenly sent a second set of details for another car to shannon in my name so in effect I was registered to two vehicles. The first I knew about ths was a couple of months ago when I received a parking fine for the second car. I got this sorted and I am no longer registered to the car in shannon however it is showing as being registered to me on pulse even after a period of 2 months. Is there any section within An Garda Siochana that I could contact to get this rectified as I don't want to be getting a summons to court for somebody else's stupidity. Thanks in advance.

How do you know you are still registered on pulse?

The guard that originally gave the parking fine was very helpful when I provided her with proof that the car wasn't registered in my name in shannon.

I know it is still on pulse in my name as the guard who issued the original fine has been very helpfull when I provided her with proof that I did not own the car

How long does it take to update Pulse once the VRO in Shannon has recorded the new owners details?

I was told it would take approximatley 2 weeks for the details to be changed but this has gone on longer than that aprox 2months

Might take until the tax is renewed on the other vehicle before pulse is updated! Same as insurance details on vehicles!

Cheers thanks for that I didn't think of that. I am gonna ring shannon tomorrow and try to get a straight answer.

Sorry to side line but does that mean the ANPR can be up to a year out of date with its hits. or does it use a different Db

Ive been told by a traffic man that it works off a different system!

The old ANPR (Ones that were installed in late 06 to early 07) worked off pulse though!
