Golf for the unemployed

I am unfortunately unemployed at the moment. Apart from my immediate aim to get a new job, I have a love for the game of golf, and can think of no better way of spending a few hours each week to take my mind off the job search.

Is there a means by which one could play a round of golf in the Dublin area for a reasonable / reduced rate during weekdays? I would be prepared to tee off early in the morning if necessary.

Furthermore are there others out there in a similar situation to me who are in search of a playing partner?

    cheers

    Hi PGL,

If you sign up to www.teetimes.ie they will send you offers of green fees at very good rates. For example, you can play South County this evening for €20. You can play Hollystown tomorrow for the same, and you can play Luttrellstown on Thursday for €35. I find it a great site.

Best of luck in getting a job!!

    Hobart.

Elmgreen and Corballis are offering an unemployed rate of €10 before 10am. Think it's just Monday to Friday, but a good deal all the same.

Was in the same situation myself for a few months but have been lucky enough to pick up a new job. Did not get in as much golf as I would have liked during the time off but it was my intension to play in the weekly open
comp in Donabate. Its on every Monday and costs just €15.

Best of luck with the job search.
