Sim failure...

    Purchased an iphone from ebay, but unable to get it going, everytime i insert sim card (meteor bill pay) it says sim failure, i inserted a 02 sim (bill pay) and got the same thing. Any ideas on how to sort this would be greatly appreciated......

    Sounds like the phone may not be unlocked.

    Can you describe exactly what you see on the screen when you switch it on?

    When i switch on the phone a messages says sim failure....then the phone starts as normal, i did see in the settings that the carrier is 02 2.9, does that mean that its locked to O2.
    I tried to do the iclarified unlock on it but i cannot i find cydia and installer icon on the menu.

    Not sure on the error but probably it's that it's lock, read the Stickies or my reply here
