silence button fell off

Hey all. The silence button on my iphone broke off yesterday. My phone is purchased on PAYG on 02-UK, and is jailbroken and unlocked using yellowsn0w. What do I do to get this fixed? Should I restore the phone and bring it to any Apple store in Dublin; restore the phone and bring it back to the shop I bought it in (which is in Newry, so it is a lil trek) or what

Really want it fixed, as I need it on silent quite a lot and it can be a wee pain to put the volume right down all the time. Thanks :)

A friend of mine was in the exact same boat as you, 02-uk phone unlocked for use with Vodafone-Irl, only he managed to break the screen.

The problem you face is if they replace it, it would be a newer one that can't be unlocked (newer firmware).

Anyway my friend brought his up to the Apple Store in Belfast (there aren't any in the Republic) and they replaced the screen on his for a fee (£150 but that included other stuff).

So you could try the same, sounds like it should be still under warranty and just explain you would like it repaired rather then replaced.
