had a person from trocaire come to my door in Bailieborough this evenin, he asked if i was interested in sponsoring a child in africa for €5 per month....he asked to go into my house to use a table to write down my bank details !!!!!!, even though he had a clip board.......sounded a bit weird to have a person from trocaire come door-to-door......
did it happed to anyone else ?!

Ask him to wait for a minute and close the door and call the guards, tell them the guy is trying to rob you (which is the truth with them charities)...should hurry them up coming out.

Haha...I wouldn't say trocaire has a 'good name' now...enough scandal over the years with it amongst others! Never heard of door to door begging though, hate them ones on the streets and at the traffic lights though pure annoyance. If people stopped sending over dribs and drabs of money to these 3rd world countries then action would have to be taken by the worlds governments instead of us putting a bandage on a bulletwound! Charity starts at home.
