Street Lighting in new estate

    Hi All,

Apologies if covered by another thread - quick question.

How long (I presume not for ever?) do the owners have to pay for street lighting in a new estate (i.e. ESD to run lighting). I kinda assumed at some point these would be passed onto the 'national infrastructure' and covered by ESB but not sure.

    Thanks for any input.

It depends on the planning permission, in all likelihood the council have a clause in the original permission that absolves themselves from ever having to take the estate in charge, your best best bet to save some cash is probably to be more involved with your management company, shop around for cheaper services, etc
