Escape from Spike Island swim 09

Dear All,

I have finally gotten around to organising the "Escape from Spike"
swim. Sorry for the delay.

This years swim is provisionally booked for the 22nd of August at
18:30. This is a Saturday.
This swim will be a Swim Ireland insured swim. I am awaiting
confirmation of Safety plans from various agencies and then I will
officially launch the swim.

Please e-mail me if you are interested and I can add you to the
mailing list. This year is not a charity swim and entry will be set at
15 euro. It is a non-profit swim so any excess will be donated to the
safety fund.

Is this a play on 'Escape From Alcatraz' and a plug for the new tourist attraction on Spike?

Yes and No

This is a sort of play on the SF swim. 3rd annual swim so no we there long before any tourist.

Hoping if they build it the tourist will come. :-)
