    Hey,

Thought I'd put it out there seeing as the CV's we have already aren't up to much.

Location(s) - 1 site in Dublin 15, 1 site in Dublin 24, 1 position would involve travelling to a few different sites.

Job spec - Security Guard, in an Office Park/Retail Park environment. Normal duties.

Any renumeration package (even if its just reference) - JLC Rate, Overnight allowance & Sunday allowance where applicable. Normal holidays allowance, double time on Bank Holidays.

Qualifications (or experience) prefered - less than 1 years experience, PSA licence req'd, driving licence an advantage.

We will need the successful candidate to commit to at least 1 year's employment.

We are not seeking the assistance of recruitment agencies.

We are not looking for 'Mall Cops' ;)

    Cheers

    Dave.

(I prefer not to put up the work email address, pm me with your email addy and I'll contact you).

Would this be suitable for someone with regular Mon/Fri 9-5 employment currently who's looking for a second job?

Just thinking about it - the minimum that you could do for us is 2 nights. So I guess you could squeeze that around a 9-5 but you'd be fairly tired after a couple of weeks.

Perhaps you could list the training etc that you will be offering to the successful candidate? (I'm guessing there must be quite a bit, or why would you bother asking for this committment.)

Are you going to commit to the successful candidate that they will have at least one year's employment, or is this a one-sided deal only?

Assuming someone has never done security before - you're not interested I'm assuming as you want a cert?

We would 'ideally' like the successful candidate to commit to one year as it will take 1-2 months on site training and commitment from us to have him/her fully up to spec for the site.

We would offer these positions with a firm commitment of 2-3 years and more to the person who wishes to work with us.

I would prefer not to list the training provided by us as a matter of company policy.

It is relatively easy to get trained for a position in the security trade.

Details of requirements are provided here -> PSA Licensing.

Details of a typical course is seen here -> http://www.ecsl.eu/SECURITY/BasicGuardingSkills/tabid/119/Default.aspx

In the past, the employer would often pay for the training and licence application. However, we and the majority of employers now require the employee to look after the training and licensing themselves, as after all, the employee will be able to take their licence away with them if they choose to resign.

If the job doesn't suit, it doesn't suit. All positions are run of the mill, and I am not asking for anything more than any other company would of a prospective employee.

Again, the point in posting the details was to help out spread the wealth amongst fellow boards.ie's. Not looking to do anyone over.
