Joining a Golf Club

    hey folks.

    I'm interested in joining a golf club somewhere out around north dublin. would love to join a links as i enjoy links play but don't really mind if its not

    i have a few questions

    1. I don't want to play massive fees or have one major once off payment just to join. I am a member of a club down the country and this doesn't happen there and i believe it shouldn't happen anywhere. any ideas what we're talking in terms of yearly fees?


    2. do i have to be invited to join?

    3. perhaps there is an alternative that people could suggest. any good public courses.
