Chip van!

Hey peeps,
Hope someone can give me some ideas on this. Does anyone have any ideas of what planning issues I'm going to come up with if I site a chip van on a site jst off a main road? I own the plot of land it would be parked on. I'm in Cork County if that matters. Where should I look-would it be in a development plan etc? Do council's take a dim view of this type of thing?
Any ideas, advice, experience appreciated.

There would be a lot of issues involved here. Just make sure you make your application for PP before doing anything.

It may do no harm to request a pre-planning meeting to iron out potential problems. Contact your local planning office who will advise you as to how to go about this.

And since you are in the food business, the health board will have a major impact.
I'd talk to them directly, as they are very approachable.

There is a section in the CDP relating to these type of businesses, major items for consideration are:

Sanitary facilities,
entrance/exit from public road,
parking facilities,
other services for the business, water, run-off.
