I want to get it done, but I'm getting a full head of highlights done on monday... should I wait a while before getting the straightening done? Does it damage the hair much?

Ring the salon your thinking of getting the chemical straightening done in as most places will only allow it to be done on natural hair colour. I looked into getting it done last year & well I wasn't a candidate for it as I had colour & highlights in my hair

if you have highlighted hair, they will either say no as the straightening is basically like a perm, so will damage hair further, or they will use a very weak solution which will not give you the best results possible, but it will still be straight, and you would have to style it straight just with less effort, but there would be a chance of damage to your hair.

ye thats it when you go in to get highlights you will be able to say that you want the straightening done too so whats the best option.
the way i think of it is all the celebrities get their hair done all the time so nothing is impossible

See I'll be getting it done in too different places. Have to get my hair done in peter mark academy cos im so broke but my roots are beyond ridiculous!

I swore id never go near a peter mark salon again years ago. They messed up my hair so many times

I avoid Peter Mark's as well cause they have never done a good job on my hair. So i've been going to Essunsuals on South William Street, they are brilliant, if it's keeping the costs down you want they do training classes on Monday nights 6pm onwards for colour[hoping to get my roots sorted there soon] and cuts on Tuesday 6pm onwards for 25 quid! Need to book tho.

Thought I throw that out there in case you wanted a change :)
    Good look with the straightening!
