I dont believe there will be a big impact on the ADI part 1 due to the new 4th Edition of the Theory Test book. Obviously the new questions could be part of the ADI test but the question bank for the ADI Part 1 is significantly bigger than the normal theory test and as you probably know the questions themselves are not published - I'm afraid you will have do some reading :)

The UK questions will help give you a feel for the type of topics covered but the questions are definitely different.

Read the Rules of the Road book in detail (including the appendixes!) along with all of the other reading material. I got what would be considered an obscure question on the minimum thread depth on vintage cars  Not quite sure how relevant that is to normal driving instruction but never the less the answer is in the rules of the road book. You generally will be asked something about trailers - either minimum width, lenght etc which are applicable for the driving test. There will also be questions on teaching pupils with disabilities - I got a question on best way to teach someone who is deaf.

    Good luck with it!

Not for the Irish ADI Part 1....at least that was the case. The UK do publish their questions so they are available on multiple websites and there are also lots of DVDs and books available online.

With the new RSA ADI training syllabus being rolled out to approved trainers there may now be material available for the Part 1 - I doubt if they have published the full question back but I dont know to be honest, when I did it you just had to read the books :D
