Spoken Irish resources for children

My 9yr old daughter is starting at a Gaelscoil in September, coming from an English speaking school. Her Irish is very poor, especially She has a good bit of vocabulary but ability to speak or understand the spoken word as Gaeilge is very poor.

My own Irish is poor but I'm willing to learn and we need to do some intensive work between now and September to get her a bit more familiar with the spoken word.

Anyone know of any good tapes/CDs or even books that will help us get the conversation going as Gaeilge. They have to be geared towards children or she just won't be interested!

    Love to hear any ideas/suggestions.

    Go raibh maith agat.

Fios Feasa have some nice cd-roms, like Drochlá Ruairí. Plenty TG4 too!

If it's still available, Muzzy is nice for preschoolers. Damn, I had the videos until recently and gave them to a charity shop. It was a BBC series produced in several different languages, about a big furry alien from outer space.

You might try Ebay for it.

As recommended, Bun-Ghaeilge do Thuismeothoirí is good, but a tiny bit dáiríre.

I think the Irish College in Ring, Co Waterford does family holidays, by the way, where you can go and spend a week having fun in a lán-Gaelach atmos.

Muzzy is good. It can still be sent away for. I know somebody who did last year. If you google it you might be able to find it.
