...I was trying to sleep last night at about half two but couldn't so I thought I'd listen to some music. Tried to remember where I'd last left my Ipod only to realise that it was in the pocket of a pair of jeans that had just come out of the wash. I ran downstairs and checked the pockets and sure enough there it was. While I enjoy how it looks clean and shiney and is smelling lemony fresh I'm worried it's fucked.

There was no battery power in it when it went in to the machine so I tried to charge it and what do ya know, IT WORKS! Only problem is I can see a bit of water beneath the screen. It's just sitting there. Is it safe to use or is it gonna explode next time I try to use it?

Best thing you can do is pop it in hotpress for a few days - to dry out the moisture inside - don't power it up or charge it til then as it might short out (although you have gotten away with it so far)

Water + the battery = rapid corrosion of the metal parts so dry it out ASAP
