whats wrong with my car

    my car is an opel corsa. I broke down the other day and the mechanic replaced the temp and crank sensor. Now my air conditioning is heating up whenever i drive when its not turned on. It gets hotter the faster i go. If I switch the heater on to cold. It gets cold. This all happens without switching the air conditioning on.

    Any ideas whats wrong with it?

    Doesnt sound like there is anything wrong...Isnt that what its supposed to do? !!!!!

    I dont turn the air conditioning on. Its still heating up so I have to roll down the windows because the car is so hot.

    But if you turn the heat control knob to cold/blue does the car not cool down. A/C doesnt cool the air it dries the air which in turn cools the air. If you turn the heat contol knob to hot and turn on th A/C together it will still be hot air coming out only slightly cooler and drier.

    Sounds like a faulty temp switch , Even if it was replaced ,I have seen new parts been faulty . Get back on to your mechanic and get him to have a look . Make sure the car engine is not over heating , If it is take care in
    removing the radiator cap.

    Most Astras don't have air conditioning. Are you sure it's not the heater flap stuck open in the hot position?
