Forage Rape Crop

    has anyone sow forage rape? How did it go and what advice can you give? thanks

    I used to sow it around 20th august every year and had excellent yields. It is a fast growing crop. It starts to grow again in early Feb but you would want it grazed out in early March as it will go to seed after that and the seed would poison cattle. If you are grazing it in Dec to Feb period you would be better off sowing the crop before the end of July.
