    Quick one...

Have an appointment with a new dentist tomorrow, but have searched high and low for my new medical card/and the letter saying I have been approved but can find neither.

If I went to the local health board place that dish them out, could they give me a letter saying I have one but have mislaid it?

yes your local health centre if you applied through them should have it on record and be able to give you a letter with your number on it.

Can you get dental work done on a medical card?

yes if the dentist takes the medical card, not sure if it covers 100% everything though, definitely it covers routine work.

If you read the back of the letter it tells you it covers dental and some optical services...well I have gotten hygienist appointments and fillings all covered..
