How to get back to playing

    Hi All,
I guess this should be the right place to ask this question. Basically I am living in south county Dublin and use to play golf summer or two as a teenager and I would like to get back in to it but not working does not help the possibility. So im wondering about cheap green fees or even a summer membership (if there is such a thing) for a golf course nearby I have a car so somewhere southside or north Wicklow would suit.
So basically cheapest place to get back in to golf even a good pitch and putt would be good so any advice I would be grateful?

    Hi,

I am also trying to get back into golf. I would consider myself a less than average player. I am from the north side of Dublin and aged 59. Planning to play nine hole golf and also par three in Howth.

    Anyone with the same interest?

    Thanks

    Larry

Par 3 courses are the place to start. I don't know of any around south county Dublin. I used the par 3 at Newcastle, south of Lucan when I resided in Dublin and found it great for practise and especially work around the green.

I don't like driving ranges, find them too artificial so my driving still suck's. So finding a driving range with outdoor teeing area's will be an advantage.

If you are interested in a game at the twelve hole par three in Howth let me know. I`d be delighted.
