    Hi all,

I am just wondering if I were to buy a new Sky+ box on eBay to replace my old and tattered one, will I run into any major complications. I want to upgrade for more space and the use of anytime. I have a Sky+ box that from about when it first came out here (it's a 40gig anyway).

So basically, I want to know if I take my current box out, leaving ALL wiring intact and simply swapping boxes, will Sky be bastards about it? And also, will I have to register the box with them or anything or will it be uninterrupted viewing?

You will need to call Sky to pair your card to the new box but no, they won't care that you swapped it.

Nah they wont give a ****e, just will inform you that it wont be covered by them so you will have to pay for service calls etc

Only problem might arise if it has been less then two months since the owner of the box cancelled, it will still be on their systems and might have trouble pairing the box with your viewing card but other then that there should be no bother :)
