buying something off from HK

    Hi,
    I am wanting to buy 2 things off khmountain.com a HK based company i want to but a pfi smokecap silencer and a orange flashider cover,but i want to know will i have to pay any money for them to come into the country beacause i have bought stuff from america before and i had to pay €50 to bring them in

    Yes, most items from outside the EU are subject to VAT upon import. Of course, customs don't seem to check all goods, and some slip through with any VAT requests. Be prepared to pay the exact tax upon delivery though.

    how much do you think it will cost if they is a charge to bring them in, it will cost me €13.84 to buy the items and €5.77 to post them so a total of €19.62

    You most likely won't be charged VAT on such a low value package.

    Usually takes around 12 working days for my stuff to arrive from HK by standard airmail.

    I've had stuff posted friday and arrive in ireland monday, arrived to me tuesday. That was with EMS

    The OP is asking about the regular hong kong post service and not EMS.
    EMS is a premium service and is expected to be quicker.

    I ordered a few bits from ehobby on thursday, Im an impatient fecker so I rang SDS today and they said it just landed, should be with me tomorrow as long as there are no probs with customs

    On a kinda side note, does the postie accept cash when paying the vat or does it have to be a cheque
