Hallahan Busses Touraneena 5k Road Race

    On the 2nd of June in Waterford.

    Anybody doing it or has anyone done it before?


    Is it a fast course? Im assuming its not chip timed and roads are not closed for it? Whats the route like.

    It's fast enough, first mile is slightly uphill to the main Dungarvan-Clonmel road and then the last mile is a fast downhill back to the village with a short sharp climb waiting at the end. It's a really nice race and worth doing for the strawberries and ice cream afterwards.
    It's not chip timed and the roads aren't closed but they're very quiet.

    It is on the 2nd is'nt it? Thats a Tuesday which seems a funny day.

    Also on run Ireland (http://www.runireland.com/events/hallahan-busses-touraneena-5k-road-race) it says the race starts at 12.00 AM, isnt that midnight?:eek:


    Surely thats not right, do they mean PM?

    Ah ****e, might have to give it a miss in that case.

    Going to have a very late drunken night on Sunday and dont really fancy a two hour plus drive after the race at that time.
