Dunno why Sparks, but the image isn't showing for me, even though I can see the source in the tags.

Great fun shoot. I shot crap at 100, but won the 300m comfortably with a 7.92 German Mauser. Fair bark off that!

The Schmidt-Rubin is a very nice gun to fire. Terrific load of poke, but it's delivered quite slowly, so recoil is very tolerable for what is a very powerful cartridge. K98 is great fun. 8mm Mauser is a beast of a cartridge.

The S-R has the nice benefit of thwacking your forehead with the brass if you're not careful though :D

Nah. Ejects pretty much vertically. And since the brass fire-forms to the chamber, you've to give it a good haul on the bolt, resulting in the amusing high-flying brass.

One can only hope! It was fun, so would be good to see more people giving that a crack, with more visible targets!

I see from your posters that as well as vintage and classic rifles, service rifles are included. What defines a service rifle and how old do they have to be?

If you can do the job, do it. If you can't do the job, just teach it. If you really suck at it, just become a union executive or politician.
