When I connect my camorder to laptop and click on the CameraWindow tool a box pop say:
    Cannot detect camera.
Check connection to camera, then retry.

I retired many time, restarted and put the usb into the different slots there are 3 and no luck.
The Canon Digital video CD is downloaded on PC.
And I registered the product online.

    Any idea whats wrong?

    Thanks in advance.

Have you successfully done this before or this your first time trying to transfer to a laptop with this camera? I had a problem with a JVC camcorder previously but that was with a firewire connection & it turned out the in-built laptop firewire was incompatible but a cheap PCMCIA firewire card on ebay sorted that problem.

Dunno if you have this sorted, but it could be the pins in your firewire/usb cable are gone, what kind of camera is it? other option is to a get pci card. Or maybe your drivers are out of date.
