Anyone buy sat cable recently

    IF so what were the prices like, what kind of length comes on a drum. Whats the norm for sat cable CT-100? and would this be over kill to use on the airiel run for the four Irish channels

    www.satellite.ie they sell wf-100 on drum.

    Cheers Stanley,have you used it yourself?. Is this the stuff thats foam filled, any idea of brand. IF not no worries will give Tony a shout.

    yes it's foam filled with double layer copper sheath, top quality.

    Yes it foam filled TX100 low smoke cable from Triax, CAI approved which is a good quality benchmark in terms of low loss per metre and rejection of outside interference from DECT phones etc.

    It is foam filled but RG6 is not the same quality as Tx100 or any other CAI certified cable.

    Stick to good quality cable (CT100/TX100 etc) less problems, and high quality conductors, inner core, and braid.

    Cheap cable is usualy steel inner core with coated copper, and steel/aluminum braid.
    As a result can be high loss, and I have even seen rust at the connectors at the L.N.B.
