Citroen C3 gearbox draining battery

    Hi,
    I have a Citroen C3 2004 auto (sensodrive). Lately it has been getting harder to start. Used to be if it were left for a few days it wouldn't start, now it is everyday. When we put the jump leads on the first thing we hear are the solenoids in the gearbox trying to complete a cycle. Once the gearbox settles down and N comes up on dash for neutral car starts fine. For some reason once engine is switched off the gearbox doesn't complete its cycle and just keeps draining the battery, at least that is what we think is going on. Any ideas? Help greatly needed thanks.

    it just generally sounds like your battery has come to the end of its life, alot of cars because of the electronics in every part of it react different to a dead battery. id strongly suggest replacing the cars battery and see if it makes a difference, your looking at about 60 - 80 euro for a new one
