Hey guys...i'm just starting the research/design on a self build, very early stages. Have been thinking of the cob/strawbale possibilities...Perhaps a strawbale wall to the north and cob to the south or even only used on the interior. With our climate could these be real possibilities? I know cob can be used here, and has been...but is it worth it? Thanks!

Might I suggest you include hemp/lime construction in your research.
its easier to get certified and had some of the better properties of straw and cob without the major defects.

Architectural practices of Patrick Daly and Joseph little are both doing a lot of interesting work with this material.
