NewAppoach I think you need a new approach to other posters.

It was a simple question as I wanted to place a e5 bet on Norway in a bookies on wed, since there is no Eurovision betting odds forum/thread(with good reason)I thought you might have tried to be helpful.guess you would rather try to be clever though?

there are all kinds of morality forums/threads on boards.ie for when people want snide remarks or cant admit that betting on a group 1 is somehow diffrient to betting on two flys climbing a wall.

all the same i must thank you for proving that backing horse,s is a mugs game! ya mug

perhaps your only interest in life is horse,s? (I reckon bookies must love ya!)

Right, so your telling me that betting on horses is a mugs game (not necessarily true imo), yet betting on a singing competition voted for by housewives is ok?? Riiiiiight....

Actually you're wrong, the Eurovision is a massive market on Betfair with plenty of opportunities for profit. Read the Eurovision preview on the Irish Sports forum on Betfair to see a fantastic pre-final write up to see how wrong you are.

Ok now it's in the correct forum Ill answer...

Most bookies where around Evens -11/10 before the event, and was roughly 2.3 on betfair iirc. However, after the singing and before the voting closed, they drifted out to about 2.9.

Whoever said the market was big on betfair you're dead right, there was about €4.8m watched on it. Its the volatility of the market thata attracts the Betfarians :)

I wonder why the change of attitude?

why did you just not answer in one of two ways:

1)Redirect me in a friendly way to the correct forum(I asked on the horseracing forum as I thought of all gamblers, horseracing fans most likely to have seen bookmakers prices,in shop, not online.)

2)just out of courtesy if you knew a bookmakers price tell me,I am sure it would not have been such a big off topic sin if You had.
