5euro entrance fee! not a chance just out of principle. Never seen the like of this. You should be covering your 'hospitality' costs out of the club profits. You should be grateful to customers for deciding to play at your club not charging them

I think the guy means all the drinks/ snacks you can handle for a €5 fee.

Don't see anything wrong with it myself, €5 wouldn't get you a cup of coffee in some places and the rake is low enough to jusitfy it imo. There is no crime in a poker organiser making a profit and the charge is clearly specified in the ad.

    Stephen.

its a big cash game, just let the €5 slide. players generally tip waitresses when they bring them food anyway

ill 2nd that....:eek: a cover charge on the door is the most pathethic thing i have ever heard...best of luck getting runners for this...if you are the manager of this club you should be ashamed coming on a public forum advertising such a big game and asking for this,is it a card room or a disco your running here ??

Responce to the 5 euro cover. We at platinum poker club think its fair to pay 5 euro for as much beer, soft drinks, hot drinks and snacks as you like all our members agree too and for anyone that thinks 5 euro is expensive i think poker is the wrong game for you. PS.paddy power has a free roll every nite!!!!!!!!!!!!

    nice attitude to boot

people have a point about it seeming stingey...
but thats because no one else does it...
but in fairness im surprised they dont..
lots of these places(especially outside the cities are not busy a few nights a week, and people still need to be payed!

And if your a big enough gambler to put 500 on a table..(lets face it most will have more down, and rebuys...so whats 5 euro out of the 3k in your pocket...hell you probably wouldnt pick it up off the street..lol.)

"so you going 5 live next hand?":P

    😎

Come on my friend don't be so sarcastic.
If your charging €5 for all you can drink/eat thats fantastic some might say recession busting:)
Just don't claim they are free when your charging, no matter how much you charge!
As a word of advice being sarcastic/short fused with prospective new customers is not clever.

Good luck to you and your new game anyway.

I don't care about the €5 charge but it will cost the club alot of business, I've often gone into a casino just to meet someone and ended up doing my nut on blackjack, if there was a cover charge id meet them somewhere else. Also the busto degens that hang around all night cant tap up the regs and lose it on house games. Good for regs bad for business.
