    can one connect a desktop to a laptop so as to use the laptop as a moniter and keyboard, thanks in advance.

    No way that I know of, the laptop is wired together solidly. If you were going to do that couldnt you just plug the laptop into the monitor and plug your keyboard into the laptop?

    No but you could use VLC on your desktop and log in remotely over a network cross over cable to control your PC this way. Won't have the same user experience as you would on a normal PC however, could be slow. Laptop monitor cannot be connected to an external PC as it is output only.

    Why do you want to do this anyways?
