Motorhome satellite receiver

    Hi,

Just got my hands on an old camper with a "Kathrein Planer Antenna" which according to the manual can receive analogue and digital tv satellite signals in the frequency range of 10.7 to 12.75 GHz". It does not have a receiver installed. The antenna can be manually adjusted both vertically and horizontally from inside the van. What type of receiver would I need to be able to view free to air English language satellite TV? For example would the lidl satellite receiver be able to receive channels via this antenna?

    Thanks Ger

Hiya Jakefouro, interested - I just bought a camper van recently and it has a Kathrein Planer arial and DVBS already inside. I had a guy look to try to rig up the system and get it working with my LED TV which I bought for the camper (12v/240V model). He tells me that the single leisure battery in my motorhome is not powerful enough to lift up the dish - what set up do you have, have you had any issues?
    Cheers
