Juice/Smoothie Bar. What Usage?

Can I use a retail outlet as there is no hot food being served or do I need to change the use of the unit to Services?

Basically the only difference is that people can consume what they buy on the premises.

I have seen many newsagents with a small area for people to consume drinks and cold food on the premises.Does that mean they changed their use of the unit?I also noticed they didnt have customer toilets which I thought was essential for people dining on the premises or is that when the premises is solely for dining in?

By the way I'm not looking for advice on wether to open a juice bar or something similiar I have an idea in mind and it would run along the same planning as a juice bar.

Anyone know what usage Juice Bars need to have their units suitable for?

If you've got more than a certain number of seats you must provide toilets. And AFAIK change of use would only come about if you expected t/o from the food side to exceed quite a large percentage of overall turnover.

Sorry I don't know what either of these figures are.

Thanks mate, were you the guy asking about chippers before?

Ok I understand totally the seating and the toilets.

If Im not serving any food at all and only beverages (non-alcoholic) can I just operate with retail usage?
