Another Question about Shoes/Pedals

I've been looking into switching to clipless pedals and I'm looking a the following shoes:

    Shimano R085 SPD Shoes

    Shimano R086 SPD SL Shoes

    Specialized Elite Road

I can't really decide between them. I noticed the R850 shoes crop up on the other thread and there's a pretty good sale on at the moment.

Oh, a lot of people here speak highly of SIDI shoes but they cost more than I'd like to spend unless they really are that much better!

The pedals I'm looking at are theses:

    Look KEO Sprint

    Shimano R540

Again I don't really know what the difference is(or at least what difference is important) so I'm in much need of advice!

Hi I was looking at the R86 myself. There 66euro in cyclesuperstore, a tenner cheaper than chain re.

Thanks man. The Look pedals are 20 quid dearer there but I might ask them if they'd sell me the pair for the same price as I'd get them from chainreactions.

I just ordered a pair of the RO85 on CRC about 10 minutes ago, so I'll let you know how I get on with them when i get them!

Well I got the R086 shoes and the Keo sprint pedals and I'm really liking clipless cycling.

I'm still not to handy getting the left foot clipped in when I'm taking off but there's a gradual improvement.

One thought has been lingering on my mind...what happens when you crash? Are they likely to come out like skis or am I staying attached for better or for worse...and how much worse are we talking?

Took a trip up to the viewpoint on Stocking Ln there, lovely evening for it but came down Cruagh Rd which was a bit rougher that I would have liked.
