    Hi lads,

Just wondering if the above mentioned speed camera is operational?

It's the one if you're heading south to Dublin.

Has anyone been caught by it lately?

    Thanks...

Pass this most mornings and for the last few months I've noticed that while I pass it at 120 on the inside lane, there are plenty of cars and vans that will overtake me at that point and I usually keep an eye out for the camera flash but haven't seen it.
I still pass it at the limit anyway to be sure...

its flashed for me about 6 months ago but never got anything in the post? it was raining very heavily so i don't know if it was that they couldn't read the reg of there was no film in the camera?

Since I know about the camera, I tend to sit just under 120kph when passing it, so have never been caught by it. But, I have seen it flash, so maybe it is catching people.

Apparently all of the cameras have flash but not necessary film

That one at Dunleer didnt flash at me when I was doing considerably more than the limit on that section at 2am in the morning 2 weeks ago, might be a dummy or broken?

Don't these cameras use a harddrive as opposed to film these days?
It's certainly not a dummy...I know a good few people that have had a fixed fine through the post for this camera in years gone by...

Passed it last night at 140kph on the speedo and nothing happened. Forgot all about it till I saw the white lines on the road and checked my speed straight away. I knew I was over but it didnt flash so happy days :)

Also, I did notice as I was going by it yesterday that there was one of those "highway Maintenance " vans at it and there was some fella working on it - hopefully it was off at the time as I was just over the limit! :o

I thought those cameras didn't work at night?
