Hi just wondering if any other people have the same problem as me..Recently met someone new but can't seem to get to sleep whilst in the same bed..Is this common?

Yes, it's common. Don't worry about it. You need to get used to sharing your bed with them before you shut off. :)

Yeah, that's common enough. I've been with my boyfriend nearly a year, but because we only see each other every third weekend or so, I still sometimes don't sleep that well when he's there because I'm not used to it.

Yep been there. Funny in my life I could only sleep soundly with three women and my feelings for them were not the issue. With one of my big loves I couldn't, yet one FWB type I could. Go figure.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

I sometimes found it hard with my last gf but it was just cos I have a crappy single bed.... Sleeping in her bed was grand though!

Yep, perfectly normal. It took me a month of sleepless nights before I got used to it with my current gf, but I sleep like a baby now (and apparently spout random gibberish in my sleep:p)
