Thanks for the link. So they've finally stopped using the Alesis MMT-8s for live work! I guess they're using Kontakt on the Mac for sampling duties.

A (good) few years ago.. Orbital played 2 nights in the Olympia.

Went to both nights.. Great shows! :pac:

The Olympia is a good venue for a big Rave.

Saw AFX there also. Tricky was meant to be playing.. but pulled out. T'was a fantastic night.

Its great when memories come back.. I was never a massive fan of Orbital, but I've actually seen them about 5 times.. So I must have enjoyed them. Mates were always going to them.

Paul Hartnoll played one night in the TBMC (Button factory).. I forget who was playing in the main area.. but he was playing in that small part just in to the left from the main doors. It was jam packed. Everyone was trying to get in there as it was really going off.

He was playing lots of really dark atonal techno.. the sort of stuff to be found on Warp Records. Orbital had a really distinctive sound.. one that you wouldnt associate at all with what he played.

He had this one track on a Warp 7" that was incredible.. Thats when the place erupted. The main room was fairly thined out. Another great night.

Ya, that was one of the best gigs I ever saw! They lifted the roof of the place. Great venue. Every gig I've seen there has been superb.
