    Hi all

Hope this post is ok mods.

Im moving to navan in the next 2 months and I currently work in Dublin city centre. So im on the look out for a new motor.
I was thinking about the Audi A4 avanti as I do a lot of surfing, biking etc but would it be up to doing 70 miles a day? I had also thought about a Honda Accord but haven't heard much about them.

I'd have approx 10k to spend.

    Jonny

2.2 Diesel Accord is more reliable than any Audi A4!For 10k you would get a fabulous one, they hvae loads of grunt ( even low down ) and would just eat up the miles.Best value diesel around imo.

You'd get this for one 7k and its around 2.5-3k to vrt I think

Go for a diesel for a start, they work out more economical over the long miles, and the engines tend to last longer. A bigger engine tends to make life alot easier along the motorway. I have an avensis 2l diesel for just such a purpose myself, its the job. The in car gauge reported 60 mpg when I was going from limerick to galway at about a steady 80km/h. Such things cant be trusted of course, but I reckon she does 50mpg on national roads provided your not gunning along/start stopping etc.

Other cars of the class that came recommended include passasts, octavias and mondeos.
