attention all u creative gods.. have sampled a piece of audio at an unusual tempo.. think its at 122.224 or something like that. kind of a pain when using a live groovebox with it.. tempo is slightly out,, using an electribe with logic pro.. wondering is there a program that can change the tempo to a round number,, in this case 122.. think izotope radius does this but at around 400quid.. in a resession the option to buy it is at an all time nil.. any ideas from u whizz kids would be great.. cheers

what DAW are you using? most will have time stretching capabilities built into the audio editing tools.

Set the project tempo in logic to whatever you want the audio to be.
Import the audio file and cut it to a perfect loop.
    Put it at bar one.
Create a cycle region around loop to the nearest whole bar.
    Select the audio region
In the local menu on the arrange window select audio>adjust region length to locators.
This will time stretch the audio file to the new tempo

If its just a small aul bit of audio - Make it into a perfect loop like trackmix said.. Then you could export it & make it into an Apple Loop.

Its pretty handy little tool. It'll make it follow the tempo straight away in any project you use it in.

You can also add tags & stuff.

If you use loops quite a bit, you'll be able to see it in the browser when you search by catagory.

thats cool man.. just wonderin if its a whole song.. does that make things different.. say for example i record a brittany spears song(GOD FORBID) from i tunes and its tempo is 132.656,,, can i change the whole song to 132.. and put samples ect over it.. in this case so loud so u cant hear the original song

what you could do is - import the track into ableton, set the warp markers and then render it at your desired tempo. then import the new version into logic and start re-mixing.
