    Interesting, if it wasn't too expensive I'd get it to replace the monster we all have now.

    Better have a quietier fan too!

    Agree.. the other day i was thinking of chopping in my ps3 and going back to 360 to play online with friends. The better optimised multi-formats and left 4 dead were influencing me as well. Then i remember how i hated the drive spin up and fans (also the RROD but thats fixed).

    The PS3 redesign looks quite smart although they have had to drop some features, like the available ports.
    Apparently 120gb as well, it's be nice to see proper backwards compatibility in there, like the original US machine, but that's just dreaming, ain't gonna happen.

    And as for the noise from the unit, I don't notice, more worried really about the amount of heat the PS3 seems to generate, I have it upright and the top gets quite hot, even when watching movies streaming from my server.
