Hi I drive an opel corsa 2001 model 973cc. A mechanic worked on my car and disconnected the battery now my radio says safe and does not work until I enter a code. I bought the car 2nd hand and did not know about that I should get a code. When I asked the person I was told go to opel. Could anybody help me with a code to make the radio work again.

Motors forum (Rec->Motors) would be a much better place to ask this.

If you got the car second hand you could try checking the back of the sunvisor..some people write them there..( it wa s there in one of my cars ].What usually happens is that you take it out, check the serial number and the dealer will be able to get the code for you.I cant remember what they charge for this.I had a problem with a radio once...took out the radio to get the serial number....and it was written on a sticker on the side of the radio..not very secure but I didnt mind.

Just go to an Opel garage and give them the chassis number and they will have the code for you. Bring along your tax or registration book so as they know you are the owner of the car now. Its a regular occurence. Good luck.
