    Hi,

I just wanted to ask does anyone know much about law in relation to service charges of properties/disconnection of services. I am acting on behalf of a golf club and am new to this area so Im just looking for some preliminary legal knowledge, or somewhere where I can find out about this, the key legal points etc.

essentially, the golf club want to know the main legal issues invloved in disconnecting services (i.e sewage treatment) for householders who default/fail to pay their annual service charges.

any help on this, or any guidance on where i could begin my research would be most appreciated. thanks very much.

    K

There's a book on the law of sewers and drains, can't remember the author though.

    Depends on lease etc

I would suggest that a court would frown upon such a practice especially inrelation to basics like water.

Debt collection is the best way forward and don't forget to claim interest.
