Hey I have an inspiron and noticed earlier that the my screen is quite visually duller than my sisters which is of the same type. I have to plug it into charger to obtain any light. I know this is probably a simple prob but does anyone know how to fix it??

    Cheers

You can increase the screen brightness by pressing the Function key "Fn" on the bottom left of your keyboard and the UP cursor key which will increase the brightness.

i'd agree with mp22 on this one, not a brightness issue as when plugged in there are no problems. Your machine is conserving battery life by not allocating as much to the screen. You can adjust the power save options as by right clicking on the battery icon in the system tray (icons beside the clock)
