Recruits on RTE

Back in the 90's there was a fly on the wall type series on RTE called "Recruits" which followed six Garda recruits through training and their initial postings.

Anybody know if they're still in, or what happend to them ??

Just interested, and always thought it would be useful to do a follow up 15 or 20 years on, and reshow the original series.

I've seen the tapes back in the old library in the Garda College.

It would be pretty interesting to find out what they're getting up to!

1992, I think it was, just as the new system was being introduced. I was in the same phase as the brother of one. By 1995 he was already a skipper. By 1997 he was in the In service school in the DMA.
Another one of the Girls in it is now stationed in Cork. Never really had much luck in fairness to her. Tried to get swaps many times, only for the swap to fall through. Have not heard of her in a long time.

They'd all be approaching 20 years in the job now of course.
