Weird clubs and societies

Just curious,do you know of any strange little clubs or societies of people? People who have some very obscure or unlikely obsession and bond together to share it?I'll get the ball rolling.Someone was telling me a while back about the Test Card Society, of people who meet to celebrate their interest in the test card (that thing that used to come on TV between normal scheduling periods in the UK- it was often just a picture of a little girl sitting at a blackboard). Anyway, apparently they contacted this girl, who's now grown-up, and asked her to come to one of their annual dinners or something and she was, understandably, like: "aaagh, **** off- you weird bastards!"

Nothing weird about them. Just dull, insipid people trying to be "random" and "zany".

Remember the Colin Hunt character from the Fast Show? It's like cutting off the top of his skull and peering inside.

I'll tell ya straight out that that there is no sekret society, honest, on the level. You don't need an all seeing eye to see that I'm being square with ya here.

There is always Nimhnea... ... err, I've said too much.

    I'm older than Minecraft goats.

Alas not everywhere can be as ground breaking as BGRH, or for that matter, the majority of fora.

    This place is rather strange.

    http://garaiste.yuku.com/directory

A forum for people obsessed with Irish transport. Lets take a look into their Dublin Bus sightings subforum and have a little peek shall we?

Choosing a random thread, here's the OP's message:
After yesterdays excitement on 130, today was very mundane :
    AVs 36, 63, 65,66,67,107,238 [ or 236 ] , plus 1 EV noted.
    +
    AV 277 , 448 ? - 41 X [ This morning 448 again initially noted as 449 is there something strange about front reg plate ]
    AV 403 - 151

    Exciting indeed.

Your post comes across as snide and judgmental.

    It's the Test Card Circle.
Their interest is not so much on the actual test card but instead focuses on the music that was played to accompany the test card.

Some of the finest session musicians of the 1960s and 1970s recorded thousands of quality tunes for such use. You're obviously not a library, lounge or easy listening fan.

The Test Card wasn't between 'normal scheduling', it was part of it.
